Photoessay #2428 - Blue and White

This is based on a picture taken by my brother.  One of a series that he's done on spices.  He loves teeny tiny intricate detail.  He's had a ball buying bulk items and then exploring them in unique and surprised ways.  The original picture he sent me was much larger, he said that when he sent smaller files (I made it smaller) he experienced a loss of sharpness and saturation.

I took his image, made it smaller and then did an auto fix which brightened it up.  That's why I say that it's based on his picture.  I like the shadows though, is that from a flash.  It almost looks like he has them on a hard shiny picture. I'll ask him.

PS the image up on blogger has lost a LOT of its luster in translation.  I noticed that yesterday.  My picture of the guys on the porch was quite crisp and clear but in blogger, it looks out of focus.  Not so good.
