Photoessay #2904 - Images
So many actvities this weekend. Us with no child-aged children except Melina who's our granddaughter. But when I thought about what kept us running around, the adult activities did point to institutions involved with parenting in some way.
To give an idea
Shorecrest Senior Projects - the local high school requires a substantive project for graduation. Part of the project is to make a presentation in front of community members. So we've signed up for 'senior project panels' for many years. We were dismayed to hear that the Senior Project was being eliminated. For funding reasons. Too bad as I thought this part of the project really helped these high school students move into adulthood. The picture I used for today showed one man who demonstrated how he made a kaval; a Bulgarian flute. I also heard from a student who wrote 100 poems, one who job-shadowed lawyers, and one who made a promotional video about the local elementary school to show parents of new kindergarteners.
Changes Orientation Training - I gave a training (with help) for people who are interested in doing orientation for parents coming to Parent Group for the first time. Fourteen people came representing all 5 chapters. Always stressful for me to put these on.
Danny's 31st birthday/Bridesmaid dress - Danny's birthday at the Dumpling House natch. We fetched Melina. When we went back to the house, she got a chance to see her Junior Bridesmaid dress (see yesterday). Fit perfectly. We really tried to make the strapless bodice fail but it wasn't going anywhere.
Movice and Dinner - We went to a movie called '36' Thai; interesting. About lost relationships and images. With our friend Mary Ann and Pat. Last evening of SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival). Thai restaurant next door. Seemed appropriate.
So tired at the end of that!
Images, I've spent an entire mullti-year blog about personal images.
