Photoessay #2884 - Slide viewer

In the 60s and a bit beyond, many families took slides of family events.  I have my parents' collection.  I had a bunch digitized and for a long time put them on the blog http://www.ginsburgh-pixs.blogspot.com/

Dennis has his parents' collection also.  I had a small slide viewer that belonged to my parents (I also have their projector) but during an earthquake a few years ago, I dropped it.

Saw one at our local estate sale, probably overpaid purchasing it for $5.  I struggled to get the batteries in.  Then Megan brought one home from Monkeys, where she works.  We fooled around with them with C batteries and got both of them to work.  So now I have *2* working slide viewers.  One wonders why but it's the way it worked out.

I grabbed the first box of slides which was one of the very last ones marked 1974.  Hey, my college graduation.  There we are, in all our glory.  So you can't really see it clearly; my mother must have taken the picture.  My grandparents, my brother, me.  Don't remember why my younger sister wasn't there.  Save epoch as my picture the other day.

Here are the goods....
