Photoessay #2815 - Naomi and Melina

Every time I open my file of pictures I took this weekend, I see this one.  It's just so cute that I have to feature it.

My youngest daughter Naomi age 23 and her niece (my granddaughter) Melina age 12.

Krystal's wedding was in Edgewood which is near Milton (don't know where that is?  don't worry but think south south south).  We had been to another family event recently, Krystal's grandfather's funeral at another church in Edgewood.  Plus we had to pick up Melina in Redmond.  So who knows how long that was going to take.  So we went early.  We actually got there an hour early, even wandering around a bit in the lost category.

Check out that bright afternoon sun!  That's rare here at any time.  Especially in March.

Melina had the cutest outfit ever.  Just perfect for a 12 year old girl going to a wedding.  The lace dress had some shorts that went under it.  She accessorized it with shocking pink, note the ribbon, sweater.  She also had shocking pink earrings, hair band and pink hairbow in the back.

Plus they had matching shoes.

Melina had been to some Cambodian weddings before.  This was a conventional Christian big but not fancy wedding.  350 people there?  A lot!

Melina is very curious about everything and she went through the wedding program and wanted to know what each thing was.  And how the wedding party worked.  When we went to the reception, she wanted to see how it all worked.  Grandma Anne wanted to go home;she was so tired.  But Melina really wanted to see the wedding cake cutting.  We worked it out, Dennis took grandma back and then returned.
