Photoessay #1901 - Those Christmas goodies

Last year, whenever something yummy (we're talking the floor/sugar/butter power triad) came into my house, I threw it in the freezer. I think there's some pretty good eating there in the back. So far, likely due to my waning popularity, we haven't much in the way of christmas cookies given to us. And I'm not making them!!

There was the tin of espresso frangos that Dennis brought home and I indulged in some grieving frango eating. But only for one evening! I insisted that Dennis take that tin of frangos back to work with him the next day. What was left of them, anyway. They were good (sigh).

But I know they're around. I just haven't been getting out much. Naomi has been here. Mostly knitting. I've been working on printing out the articles about Maier Zunder in the New Haven Register. And I know that many of the articles were in the other papers. Heavens. nothing could happen in that town that they didn't go ask Maier Zunder what he thought about it. Mercy! I bought a brand new thick binder with extra fancy dividers and it's almost full of New Haven Register Maierisms.

Hmmm, maybe I can bring out a 'best of Maier Zunder' series. Worth a thought.

Christmas has gotten complicated. Not the presents, I've nearly killed them. Along with the Christmas goodies. And I scornfully sneer if anybody brings up Hanukah. Dang, that first night snuck up on me, didn't even know it. So it's probably just as well that I'm in my house printing out newspaper articles from the 1880s.

You probably don't even want to talk to me. A pox on Christmas goodies!!

Love 'em though, I've eaten my share in my time (dreamily)
