We had some good, if short, times with our granddaughter Melina today. Usually we get her in the late morning and bring her back after supper. But today, I gave her a choice and she wanted us to come after lunch. There was some confusion when I got there (Facebook messaging is NOT working for us here). Sophoeuy mad a good faith effort to get in touch with me but it didn't work. Melina was with her aunt's family and they drove up while I was there. Melina wanted to come with us and we agreed to have her back by 4:30 so she could do her homework.
So we didn't have much time! She and I and Teddy stopped at the last Lake Forest Park Farmer's market of the season to pick up my letterbox, we bought some peppers and raspberries and some ice cream. Plus some special peach jam for Melina. Hmmmm, we decide to do have spaghetti dinner early; Melina playing fetch with Teddy. Afterward, we dodn't have much time but we head off to Hamlin Park to do some orienteering letterboxing. There are 14 but I'm clearly confused. Dennis gives it a shot and we find one but then it's time to go. 1 down 13 to go.
Pictures show Dennis trying to figure out from sign post #4 and then Melina getting ready to do the stamping. I'll join her right after I take the picture. Teddy up for everything.
