I staffed an information table for parent group at a resource fair for non-profits staged at lunchtime for the employees at the King County Courthouse and anybody else who wanted to drop in. But, since it was held in a courtroom on the ninth floor, dropins were unlikely.
We didn't talk to many people but doing it with my fellow member Colleen was fun. I actually staged this picture from somebody passing by our table but no matter. Not a bad shot. No flash. Used what I learned in my photography class.
Colleen is a real talent, she sets up everything so skillfully. She had the table cloth and a new white frame for a little sign. I would never think of those things. We, in the trenches, now you can always depend on volunteer Colleen to get things does correctly and promptly.
I would say this was medium successful. We didn't talk to many people but it's good to be with the other non-profits.
Myself, I prefer to stay in the trenches in the chapter with the parents who come with their hair on fire.
