Photoessay #1474 - Wedding
Yesterday afternoon, we attended the wedding of Megan and Alex. I used to be their patient (still might in the future). I got to meet many of Alex' relatives from Tennessee that I heard about for so long. My daughters Susanna (Suzie) and Naomi along with Susanna's partner Megan were the child care crew for their special needs son and daughter (Hally (formerly Robby) age 7 and Liam age 3). All agreed that the whole wedding could not have taken place without Suzie's help. She had full time care of Liam. And she's the best and only one who could do it. She was the nanny for the two kids for a year. And Liam LOVES his Suzie. I'm sure he was delighted to have her full time attention the whole day. If she didn't chase him, he was chasing her. Naomi took care of Hally all day until she cratered rather spectacularly by throwing up towards the end of the reception (too much fun, excitement and food). Megan filled in between them.
The first shot shows the ceremony done on the edge of the Ship Canal. The reception was held in a large party space a few blocks away. The wedding couple formed a parade to the park at the edge of the water. The mother of the bride came next followed by the child care crew. The couple were front and center as appropriate during the service on the banks of the canal with the attendants behind. Susanna seated right beside them with Liam keeping him under control. She never took her hands off him no matter how he squirmed and fussed. He was not getting away from Suzie, no way.
The reception was fun with a circus theme and a bluegrass band.
Last shot shows the happy couple during their wedding dance.

Sandy!
What great pictures! We were thrilled you and Dennis came to the circus! Your amazing kids indeed saved us (again) and we are so grateful for your family and the connection to our family.
Lots of Love,
Alex and Megan
