Photoessay #1432 - Schreiner's Iris Farm

Today we traveled from our home to Grant's Pass Oregon. I had found an old (1995) travel guide on our bookshelf; likely was Dennis' dad's book. Most entries seemed out of date but I did pick out this place north of Salem. Which we were able to find. They had a beautiful display garden with lots of poppies and lupine. And tons of iris. We are several weeks too late so maybe 10% of the iris were still blooming. And that's generous. Still, we admired iris of every imaginable size and color. Blue, purple, true yellows, pink, apricot, white, nearly black, lavender. Beautiful afternoon to be wandering around a multi acre flower garden. My favorite shot for today though I haven't really had the time to examine all of them.

We arrived in Grant's Pass and ate in a local mexican place and went down to the Rogue River.

Message from home that Teddy's not eating. Wouldn't eat his breakfast or his dinner, wouldn't even be tempted with a french fry. C'mon Teddy, no getting sick. He's such a delicate little flower and so emotional
