Photoessay #1209 - Danny speaking

Danny came and spoke to Parent Group last night, think it's his 4th time. He's such an articulate speaker. He doesn't realize that not everybody can do it. I don't remember what he says from time to time. He's been speaking on behalf of King County Juvenile Justice in a program for first time juvenile felons. I think they can substitute probation time if parents and children come to these programs. He has an hour or hour and a half with the kids. Mostly he tells his own story. The kids and the administrators really like it. The kids give him very high marks and the director sat in one time and wanted to use Danny more.

Last night he took his prepared program for the kids and cut it down still leaving time for questions.

Smaller group, about 25 but well received (as always). Some of the 'new' people who had not heard him before came up and complimented him afterward. He's good. But still things twist on themselves. I appreciate and recognize my son's talent but still a part of me kind of wishes that he presented on another topic rather than his out of control past drug use.

Oh well, we have to take our benefits as we get them!

Good job Danny! You do valuable work!
