Photoessay #1220 - Ilana in New York City

Conversation Portrait: John Waters "Role Models" from Flash Rosenberg on Vimeo.

A sad day for such a blogger as myself. I seem to now be unable to steal pictures from facebook photo albums. Bummer! Even of my own kid!! Dang!

But Ilana is now in New York City after a short overnight stop in rural Pennsylvania. She's had her first day at NYPL-Bronx and has a spiffy corner office for the week. However, she suspects that it's only available because of recent round of layoffs.

So far so good. She got in touch with Flash Rosenberg, our famous cousin, who invited her to a small film festival event where she would accept a reward. Lower East Side Film Festival. So she got caught up with the Flash whirlwind, turned out that it was really small (like 24 seats).

Flash won the Best Animated Film with Conversation Portrait: John Waters “Role Models” which is included with this post. Part of her Artist in Residence at the New York Public Library.

This picture thing could really cramp my style, grumble. But Ilana's having a great time in the Big Apple. Currently.

It's a little more work, but have you tried (if your web browser supports it) doing a "View source" of the web page. If it's not too obscured you can usually find the URL for the picture and copy and paste it into the browser's address bar.

If you have trouble, send me the URL for a page you want to snitch from and I'll try to locate and highlight the URL to give you an example.
