Photoessay #982 - All around us

As I work on things around here, getting ready for a houseguest (we can't let them see how we REALLY live!), my days seem full. When did I ever spend 40 hrs/week working? Which I did for 14 years.

Everything happens for a reason (not EVERYTHING) but this job loss happened at just the right time (and I'm only six weeks into it) for me to deal with some deaths around me. My mom and my friends' daughter. I could be there. I can be there.

Some space to think.

Some space to buy some new towels

I'm just kidding (not really)

I'm featuring a picture straight out of my camera that I took last week. Daffodils and vinca. Just to remind ourselves that beauty is all around us. Sometimes we have to look a little closer to notice it. Sometimes we capture it when we least expect it.

So I'm take some quiet time

Just kidding on that one too, Naomi shows up in for spring break (or similar) in just a few hours. Natsuko arrives on Monday for two weeks. Ilana goes to Ann Arbor for Michigan Days. This week, Naomi learns to take care of the kids that Susanna cares for while she's in California with UPS, she's expecting to start working as an EMT soon, tomorrow is my brother in law's birthday so we have to go to that. Unclear if our seder will happen or not. So the quiet is fleeting.

Pretty pic though
