Photoessay #928 - Yamagata City

We are going to Yamagata City (in the north of Japan) to visit Nobuko. Actually Nobuko doesn't know about it yet but she will. I will write to her straightaway and start planning. I am serious about this.

Backing up to the main stress, which isn't even xmas. My job situation has gone from poor to positively miserable. Atrocious. I can't think of enough bad ways to describe it. However, I will work on it as appropriate.

But to hell with that. Dennis agrees about going to Yamagata so we will go. We can do it. That's more important and is a good focus. The fares to Tokyo run about $850 round trip and there's a bullet train that runs to Yamagata City; trip about 3 hours.

But the time is NOW. We were considering a cruise to Alaska on a small charter boat, pricey and Dennis would like to do that. Maybe, maybe. But I feel very strongly that we need to visit Nobuko.

This will give me something positive to do and plan regardless of my job completely falling apart in a most distressing way.

I will write Nobuko tomorrow!!!! Hope I hear back from her soon!
