Ilana went on a backpacking trip this weekend with her friend Erynn and some members of her church to a place called Pete Lake, somewhere near Roslyn.
No, it's not us going backpacking. I have featured Ilana way more than everybody else lately because she's currently living with us and is around.
She said that the occasion for this picture was that they were all wearing black tank tops. This laks had verrry cold water and, on a dare, she and several people went swimming even got their heads wet. Beautiful sunny weather. "August weather with September's crowds" as she put it.
Great for her to get out of town. She's realizing how stressful it can be to take 3 jobs at once.
On the other side, am working with some parents whose daughter has a newborn baby in a domestic violence situation with a controlling drug dealer. Yikes and double yikes. Generally we don't believe in a rescue but the daughter wants out and we are helping her.
