A few more pictures from last weekend's 3 day trip to Pullman. I didn't take too many good pictures, I think the whole thing was personally exhausting. And you were always having to trudge up that darn hill. Why was everything ALWAYS uphill?
Speaking of which, the first shot shows the parents trudging up the hill for the first program after breakfast. We were all game but I really wondered about that last ascent uphill. I knew I had to get there. With some like minded moms, we attempted to determine if maybe we could park by the Student Union. Alas.
The main buildings at Washington State University fit into each other in an intricate pattern connected by bridges and stairways. Not spread out in the same way. Attractive and interesting, builds toward community. Naomi's room is at the complex on the north side of the campus. We kind of figured out the building. Overlooks the football field. I believe this is an all-women's dorm which she wanted.
Last weekend I was struck with the number of boys. And parents of boys. Naomi suggested that the parents of boys attended because they were just so thrilled that their son was actually going to college. Website says enrollment is 53% women. But I saw a lot of boys.
Lower picture taken at the last event (I had just walked up that WHOLE hill) In the student union, about ready to go for the sweatshirt I promised her. We ended up buying the most expensive microfiber jacket EVER. Which she must have taken to camp.
Ilana's getting her schedule for her library part time job together. She had to make the decision whether to take the shift on Aug 20 or not. She had intended to go to Pullman with Naomi and Dennis. But, ya gotta work sometime, so she took the shift. She would like a full time job, needs it to be able to have her own place. But this is a start.
Note: I can tell the weight loss in the picture. Go ME!
