Photoessay #739 - View at lunch

A few weeks ago, Ilana had wanted to have her graduation celebratory meal at Aqua Verde, a little place near the University by the fisheries building. Sure, party of 10. It's all good.

Today I lunched with my friend Linda, who I see once/month. I'm sure I've posted pictures of us. We met over 25 years ago when I worked at Batelle. We have much in common and we still have many things to talk about. YOu've got to stick with your women friends, those are the folks that will see you through.

Beautiful weather. I'm terrible with restaurants. Mostly it just doesn't seem to be worth the trouble. Where can we eat outside. I suggest Aguq Verde. Why not? So, though it was crowded, it's not bad at lunch. Line not too bad, I went out on their deck and easily found a table.

Here's the view of the ship canal and the monthlake neighborhood beyond. Rich people's votes. Had a quesadilla with spinach and mushrooms. $4.50. Great deal.

We'll meet again in a month. I'm writing mindless sales letters that will not get a response.

We're working on deploying Teddy to deal with a cat who lives behind us who we don't like. Always trying to drive Starbaby out of her own yard and establish our front yard as his own territory. Mixed results. Teddy doesn't seem to feel that he has to take off after the cat. Dennis tried a deployment last night and Teddy ran after the wrong cat. Dennis figures that a six month old silly puppy generally running around can disrupt a cat fight. He can be effective; sometimes you send him out of the front yard he circles around bothering whatever cats he can find and then runs back in.
