Photoessay #736 - Further adventures of Edward ... and bookends

Ilana's larger than life cardboard cutout of Edward Cullen, Twilight's main character with way too much hair product, has migrated to Camp River Ranch. I'm sure delighting many campers.

I sat through Twilight a few weeks ago and it is a huge abstinence movie. With plenty of setup for evil native werewolves. Gotta say, those were darn well-heeled vampires.

Ilana showed be you-tube video acting out parts of Twilight, substituting a cheeseburger for the female lead. Sounds weird but it works.

Another homemade video also acted out parts of the movie, including my personal favorite where Edward is hassling his female love interest, pushing her "Say it, say what I am! Go ahead, say it!" And she blurts out "Mermaid! You are a mermaid!" chuckles

OK so I'm listening to Paul Simon and I see that he's touring with Art Garfunkel in Australia. Ah, youtube again, you can see a lot of their performances.

Including that one short song which captured me so much when I was later in high school. In fact, it has to do a LOT with this blog.

Many will remember the Bookends Theme

Time it was
And what a time it was
It was
A time of innocence
A time of confidences

Long ago
It must be
I have a photograph (get it????, see??)
Preserve your memories
That's all that's left you

aaack! Ok! Ok! that's what I'm doing!

PS I could never ever figure out why my parents thought Simon and Garfunkel was authority-defying drug-encouraging evil wild law-breaking rock and roll
