Because I can't resist a group picture.
Today I attended an all afternoon retreat with a group of women in a group I belong to. The hostess lives in a modest duplex on a busy street; a warm and welcoming home. 12 women, potluck, during the general lunch and sharing, a great opportunity to hear about the professional backgrounds of the attendees. We usually deal with the here and now at the parent group, turns out these women share professional training backgrounds and quite a bit of international travel.
We had some of the activities in her son's previous room, now painted 'restful rose'. We worked in partners with different scenarios from our lives. In the center of the rug, participants were invited to bring a book or poem or picture referencing their role as mother in some way.
Lively friendly fun discussion.
