Photoessay #504 - The old and new year

Every year, Mary Ann and Sandy get together at New Years. Mary Ann whips out her calendar for the previous year.

Every year we note how things are going for ourselves and our families. Mary Ann writes it on the last page of her calendar. Then, the next year, we compare how things were then and how things are now.

Sometimes, we surprise ourselves. Hot issues have been forgotten. Stable issues go haywire. Somebody has made great progress and others are still stuck.

But Mary Ann and I had so much to talk about, lots of changes this year. Maybe, just maybe, some of these young people are growing up.

Later, at Parent Group, I had everybody go through the same exercise.

But, right now, it's 12:40 am, Ilana had a New Year's Eve party and they are going strong up there. Soon, we will have to toss some of them out.
