Photoessay #465 - Family

I snapped this picture during our outing last Sunday. Everybody is here except for Ilana.

Dennis, Susanna(23), Naomi(18), Melina (8), Danny (26). Melina is our grandchild. I snapped the picture. We ate lunch at the Food Court then to the Pacific Science Center.

Which is rather a no-flow show...oh well there's a lot of things that an 8 year old can do.

Looking at this picture, I think, wow, here we are twenty years later. Naomi will turn 19 next month. Still hanging around. All those kids really young adults now. Time passes for everyone. We all grow older, even all those kids who seemed to be around here, being juvenile and needing parenting for just about forever.

Yesterday's entry really gave me some new insight into myself as a child. I so wanted to have friends but so many times, it just didn't seem to work for me. Seems like I couldn't get people to like me a lot of the time and I felt very persecuted. It only occurred to me yesterday that likely it was my lack of age appropriate social skills, not that I was a pariah bound for a life of loneliness.
