At Ilana's insistent urging we picked up Susanna and went to Alki Beach for fish and chips. I have to say that our long longtime favorite place has lost their edge, the last few times we have gone, I have been disappointed in their fish. But, though I was reluctant to go (far away, expensive, Labor Day traffic, I had bought tons of food yesterday), I enjoyed myself. The beach was mild. It won't be dark, said Ilana, think SUNSET. And the lighting was dramatic though a lot of my pictures didn't turn out. We did feed the piggy gulls a bit. This picture jumped out of my camera with all of it's movement and urgency.
It did give an end to the Labor Day weekend.
