Jim and Lanaya ran a successful antiques and collectible business for several years after Jim retired. They never had a shop, they traveled around to antique shows held at fairgrounds and malls. Several times per year, they went on 'buyng trips' often to rural Pennsylvania. They specialized in primitives and chocolate molds. They had a trailer and a van and they enjoyed themselves 'tooling' around. They had their circle of friends and Lanaya had an encyclopedic knowledge of her merchandise.
I think Jim took these pictures of Lanaya and their wares in their Felton home maybe with some promotional ideas in mind. They never did have a shop and, in later years, they were forced to give up the business as Lanaya declined.
I seemed to remember another name and Dennis said he did a business identity in the name of "Country Mouse Antiques". Cute, he remembers, some of my best work. But he misspelled his mom's name (LaNaya) and she never used them.
They did have a good time with this business and kept them on the road which they enjoyed.
We were looking at Jim's photo albums at his sister's various wedding pictures. We admit to getting the grooms mixed up.
