We crossed the US Canadian border twice in the last two weeks on our way to and back to Canada Cup, the softball tournament. You never know what the wait will be, somehow we've lucked out on all of our crossings, never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Sometimes the cars will be backed up for miles and miles going the other way. Twoi border crossings from the I-5 corridor in Washington in BC, the regular I-5 crossing at Peace Arch, very attractive parks and gardens but can be slow. And the 'truck crossing' just a very short distance to the east. Really only a few miles out of your way and often much much quicker. We always go through the truck crossing and had very good luck there.
Usually it's very smooth, they just ask where you live, you talk about Canada Cup. We now give our passports. This shot is northbound going into Canada at the Truck Crossing. Going into the USA, you have to cross a short area where there seems to be all kinds of scans and probes, wonder what they are doing?
You can buy tylenol with small amounts of codeine OTC in Canada. They'll sell you two bottles. But I'm not sure how much you can take legally across the border. Anybody know?
