Photoessay #409 - Rob Doi

Just returned from this memorial. One that should never have died, his work was not done. Naomi's friend Janelle's dad. 48 years old. Died in his sleep. He was the rock for Janelle, the glue that kept everything together. He saw her several times per week and, if something was going on, sports, music, projects, helped make things happen. Huge hole in her life. I guess she can be grateful that she had a dad who care about her so deeply and participated so fully in her life though she did not live with him. Many times he was over here, sometimes including Naomi in their activities.

See you on the other side, Rob. You were appreciated more than you know.

Yes, you put it right. Rob did so many things for his daughter and for those he cared about around him. He will be missed sorely. I miss him a lot.
