Photoessay #160 - My holly tree never looked so good
Holly is actually a weed around here. If you don't watch out, you will have holly bushes growing everywhere. *when* I do weed, I pull them out. When we moved in here 20 years ago, there was a holly tree growing in the ivy right outside out door, shorter than the eaves. I left it there, could have been a weed. It's grown high, poked its way around the eaves. How tall? 15 feet, more? Plenty of holly leaves and berries. I'm sure it's one of those trees that's in the wrong place, allowed to flourish through neglect.
The first picture, just autumn sun filtering though the leaves and berries, my holly tree has never looked so good!

It's a pretty healthy 'weed'. The colors are wonderful. Your pictures are always so blue green. The midwest is in it't gold mood right now. Tree's yellow, brown, red, gold, while some plants still green.
