Photoessay #38 - Blue thistle
Adding to the myriad of other flower pictures on the internet. Dennis took this picture last Friday evening when we went out to dinner on the Edmonds marina. The flower boxes behind the restaurant right next to the fishing boats boasted some colorful windswept flowers. Small coral roses (in the background) and these icy silver blue thistles. You would not want to touch these babies. Not sure, but these might be the kind that would sting a bunch if you handled them. The silvery color was so brilliant, really a true blue. They did well with the salty air and chilly breezes.
