This past weekend, I went with my daughter Ilana and her friend Janine (one of several who qualify as 'my fifth kid') to the Seattle Art Museum. I posted a 1993 picture yesterday, Ilana was the young girl in front on the left. Seven years old in yesterday's picture. 21 years old in today's picture. We didn't actually stand in line for the 'Gates of Paradise' but we did see the Roman Treasures from the Louvre. Which demonstrates what Empire can do for you. You weren't supposed to take pictures from the Rome exhibit but I did sneak some in.
Janine has been a close friend of Ilana's since her family (which includes her mom and her aunt) moved to our area about 5 years ago. She has participated in lots of family activities...she's one of the REGULARS for seder...and for Thanksgiving, etc etc.
